Value Statements
A Strong Family Business. Steve Bolhuis opened Beacon Recycling in a small building on Roberts Street in Muskegon in 1999. In 2001, Beacon Recycling moved to Keating Avenue to expand and grow. Today, his son, Brendan, joins him in operating the thriving business with a team of dedicated, hard-working employees at our leading edge facility which continues to grow and improve each year.
Recycling to Help the Environment. Beacon Recycling helps contribute to saving the environment by the mass recycling of scrap metal products. Beacon Recycling has been a scrap metal recycler for 10 years and is also a member of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI). Recycling steel saves energy, conserves natural resources, and reduces landfill waste.
A Proud Part of the Community. Whether it's supplying educational programs with metal or sponsoring local sports teams, Beacon Recycling is proud to support the community in which we work and live.
